Another Successful MFG Day is in the books!

MFG Day 2017 TourFrom its small beginnings out of a garage in 1972 to the successful 55,000 square foot operation it is today.   Avanti Engineering has participated in MFG Day because they are committed to educating students and growing their interest in manufacturing skills.  There’s no better way than to show them hands on what day-to-day operations happen at a manufacturing facility.

For the employees at Avanti, it was a typical day.  Machines were in full operation; producing precision-machined parts.   But on the MFG Day events, students joined the engineers in the manufacturing area to observe how the machines work.  Students learned about steps in the manufacturing process from design to production.  They also learned about quality control measures that are imperative to producing precision parts and upholding the quality that Avanti’s customers have come to expect. 

In addition to the students, Avanti also received a visit from the governor’s office when they stopped by to issue a proclamation.   Overall, resounding feedback was positive from all that participated in MFG Day 2017.  Avanti Engineering, Inc looks forward to once again hosting this event next year!
