At Avanti Engineering, we have (computer numerical-controlled) CNC precision turning centers that can handle an array of different tasks, such as drilling, tapping, turning and milling. We can work with stock bar sizes with diameters ranging from .125 to 2 5/8" round bar capacity. In addition, our CNC turning centers also feature an automatic bar feed, with chucking capacities up to 8" in diameter.
 
CNC-turned parts are favored for their uniformity, the fine finish and precision dimensions. And all this is achieved in a fairly fast and expedient manner!

CNC Machining- What is it?

These numbers are associated with the coordinates of a graph and the computer controls the movement of the tools. The machine tools are automated by precise programming encoded on a computer command module, usually attached to the machine, instead of being controlled manually or mechanically automated.

The CNC Machine may look like it has standard controls, but the computer's exclusive software and control console are what really makes CNC machining the most reliable operation for machining metal or plastic parts. It’s the CNC machining code) that effectively controls all features of the machine process such as the feed rate, synchronization, position and speed. With CNC machining, the computer can control exact positioning and pace.

The process begins with a CAD drawing which creates the coding that the CNC machine will comprehend. The program is loaded to the module and an operator preforms a test run of the program to confirm everything is operating as it should be.
