POSITION: Quality Manager – Pay range : $95,000 – $110,000 / yr

Position overview:
Manage and lead a team to meet and exceed quality standards and customer expectations. Responsible for establishing a Quality Control System, monitor and enhance the quality processes and procedures while continuously improving employee knowledge, engagement and morale.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or commensurate experience in quality control
• 7+ years leadership experience in the precision machining industry in manufacturing environment
• Management skills
• Knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems; experience with ISO certification process and requirements
• Able to manage all aspects of in process and quality management system.
• Experience managing Non-Conformances, from initial investigation through corrective and preventative actions
• Experience conducting root cause investigation and failures.
• Participate in weekly cross-functional production meeting with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supervisors
• Ability to communicate with suppliers regarding quality issues.
• Experience managing Internal Audit program.
• Experience preparing for and conducting External Audits
• Experience with ISO certification process and requirements, 9001:2015
• Manage Calibration of all internal Instruments & Gages
• Detail oriented project management mindset
• Ability to communicate complex technical content in both, verbally and written.
• Result oriented
• Strong ability to manage technical documentation
• Knowledgeable of GD & T
• Knowledgeable of PPAP process, IMDS system and gage R & R
• Good understanding of material review board
• Good skills using Microsoft office: Access, Excel
• Knowledge on Adobe, gage pack, SQC pack and Oasis systems, preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Manage team of Inspection Auditors and Quality Technicians.
• Review customer engineering and production drawings and specifications to establish a base line for Quality standards.
• Together with Engineering, establish and maintain a library of Quality standards publications.
• Hold training sessions as required to train workers in techniques for Quality Assurance in manufacturing our products.
• Establish a report regarding the compliance of production to the Quality standards set by the Quality system and enforced by QCM.
• Review all policy and procedures relating to Quality Assurance and submit recommendations for modifications or changes.
• Ensure that all finished goods are shipped with the necessary quality reports required.
• Review and maintain supplier quality performance information with purchasing.
• Enforce company deadlines under the QCM together with Plant Manager
• Handle the complaints through the material Review board and take appropriate corrective actions as needed to resolve it.
• Operate, maintain, and provide all necessary S.P.C. requirements and other records and reports required.
• Maintain Quality Control Manual and update and revise as needed.
• Operate and maintain all ISO 9001:2015 requirements, coordinate audits and generate metrics.

Schedule: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm OR, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm M – F

Position: CNC Setup & Programmer – Sign on Bonus up to $10,000

The CNC Set-Up and Programmer will be responsible for the CNC programming, improving process performance, tooling recommendations, identifying and reducing waste and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Miyano CNC lathes and Citizen CNC Swiss machines, manually and/or through use of CAD/CAM software.
  • Analyze, review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Maintain quality objectives, while controlling costs.
  • Support floor personnel in troubleshooting process and/or quality problems.
  • Qualify part set-up to ensure its satisfactory operation and instruct others on machining process.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and tool layouts to determine optimum manufacturing sequence and tooling requirements for new designs or modifications of current products from a productivity and ongoing production standpoint.
  • Work with trainees when necessary on good machining practices and inspection techniques.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Five-plus years of proven hands -on programming experience on multi-axis Miyano CNC and/ or Citizen CNC Swiss lathe, either manually or with CAM software.
  • Knowledge of Mitsubishi and Fanuc control.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools used in CNC high-speed machining.
  • Strong technical and analytical knowledge around manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshooting experience.
  • Coaching ability to help other team members with good machining practices and inspections techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with various gauging and inspection tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical blueprints and Geometric Tolerance.
  • Knowledge of metal cutting feeds and speeds for various types of material.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in job shop environment.

Schedule : Monday – Friday; overtime available and flexible schedule.
1st shift : 6:00 am – 4:30 pm , or 7:00 am – 5:30 pm

Salary range:  Up to $35/hr  

*Salary based on experience

POSITION: CNC LATHE OPERATOR: SIGN ON BONUS up to $2000

Requirements and skills:
2-3 years’ experience as a machinist operating the following type of machines would be helpful: Citizen CNC swiss lathes, Tsugami, Miyano, Doosan, Mori Seiki or other fixed headstock lathes, Index MS40/MS32 (multi-spindle)
Requirements and skills:
Able to read and understand blueprints
Index MS experience is a plus.
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers and other measurement devices.
Familiar with “G” & “M” codes (preferred)
Capable of lifting 35-40 lbs.
Knowledge of cutting tools used in CNC machines.
Able to make adjustments on the machine.
Good communication skills
High attention to detail
Good technical and mathematical skills

POSITION: Screw Machine Set-Up Operator – New Britain, Davenport, ACME

SIGN ON BONUS up to $6000

We are looking for an experienced Set-up operator for ACME, Davenport and New Britain multi-spindle screw machines.
Requirements and skills:
Must have 2 – 3 years of relevant experience with ACME, Davenport and/or New Britain machines
Able to Set-up and troubleshoot
Operate a minimum of 2 machines
Able to read and understand blueprints
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers and other measurement devices
Mechanically and mathematically inclined
Able to make adjustments on machines and maintenance preventive checks
Able to lift 40 lbs.
