CNC Machining
CNC Machining – High Volume, High Precision Turned Parts
Our CNC Machining team of experienced CNC Turning machinists are available to provide the affordable precision machining services that you need. We work with a wide range of materials, from steel, stainless steel and cast iron, to bronze, plastics, aluminum and beyond.
Precision CNC Machining
The experienced machinists at Avanti Engineering, Inc. combine accuracy with flexibility. We machine brass, copper, bronze, steel including high alloy, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron and phenolic. Our CNC Turning machines use 3′, 6′ or 12′ bar stock material to automatically feed our machines to convert raw metal into a precision component repeatedly, efficiently & effectively.
CNC Machining Quality Assurance
We offer a wide range of quality assurance measures to ensure that each and every CNC Machined Part is manufactured to the tightest tolerances and the highest qualities. Our quality control process includes:
- ISO 9001:2015 certified
- NIST-certified measurement equipment
- thorough reporting and tracking for each and every project
- PPAP compliance which requires adherence to a stringent protocol for part approval.
- Reporting and Trace-ability – thorough reporting and tracking for each and every project.

CNC Machining – What is it?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, which means a computer converts the design generated from Computer Aided Design software (CAD), into numbers. These numbers are associated with the coordinates of a graph and the computer controls the movement of the tools. The machine tools are automated by precise programming encoded on a computer command module, usually attached to the machine, instead of being controlled manually or mechanically automated.
The CNC Machine may look like it has standard controls, but the computer’s exclusive software and control console are what really makes CNC machining the most reliable operation for machining metal or plastic parts. It’s the CNC machining code that effectively controls all features of the machine process such as the feed rate, synchronization, position and speed. With CNC machining, the computer can control exact positioning and pace.
The process begins with a CAD drawing which creates the coding that the CNC machine will comprehend. The program is loaded to the module and an operator preforms a test run of the program to confirm everything is operating as it should be.
CNC Machining has many advantages because the method can ensure optimal efficiency and uniformity which is more accurate than manual machining. Because of the exactness that is available with CNC Machining, complex parts can be manufactured in a way that would be almost impossible to achieve with manual machining. This process allows us to manufacture the exact same part to the very same specifications, even months or years in the future. There’s no variation between production runs, as often occurs with traditional machining methods. It is because of these qualities that CNC Machining is used in manufacturing parts requiring the tightest tolerances and the highest quality.
