Avanti engineering, Inc. successfully Hosted Lake Park High School Students This MFG Day to Give Them Hands-on Experience

Avanti Engineering, an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer of Screw Machined Products and Precision CNC Turned Parts, successfully hosted the students from Lake Park High School at this year’s MFG day 2016.  With great success, the students were given hands on experiences with Screw Machine Products and CNC Swiss machining process.  The intention was to allow the students get an up close experience of the manufacturing process as it aims to fill the manufacturing skills gap that exist today.

A presentation kicked off this event, where the students learned about the start of Avanti and the company’s unprecedented growth over the decades. They were excited to interact with engineers who explained the processes involved in engineering of each screw machine product. The students toured shop floor where they watched the machines producing the parts to each manufacturer’s specifications. They were also introduced to the latest quality control equipment’s used to assure ISO 9001 compliance providing the highest standards of the machined components.

The students were also able to tour the parts cleaning areas, along with recycling, stock and shipping. The coordinators received excellent feedback from the students and Avanti Engineering has been commended for hosting such an educational program for their young students.
