Avanti hosted students from Lake Park High School so they could get hands on experience of manufacturing screw machine products and CNC Swiss machining. Students participated in a presentation explaining the beginnings of Avanti in 1972 and how it has grown and adapted. They talked to the engineers who explained how the screw machine products were engineered, then to the shop floor where they were able to be up front watching machines creating screw machine parts. Next they went to quality control where they were able to experience all the latest equipment used to assure high quality standards are being met. Then, finally, on to stock room where Avanti stocks parts for its customers so they are ready as soon as their need arises, along with shipping.
